No idea why I missed out this song. It’s a really good song, because each section of the song feels so different even though it’s just two rows of chords repeating itself. My best guess is the role that the drum plays.

In the intro and first verse, the drum doesn’t do much more than just the kick bass. It is coupled by the strumming of the acoustic guitar which is clearly heard especially in the high resolution version. Mizuki has made this section also very pleasing and easy to listen to. I personally feel ever so drawn into the light feeling this section creates, and how Mizuki controlled her tone very well. So soft and accurate, her voice is.

Then, comes the chorus where it gets busy with the drum snare and all. Pretty standard affair chorus.

Verse 2 presents an upgraded feel from the first verse, carrying on the momentum from the first chorus. This time the drum has a bigger presence, and Mizuki’s voice getting stronger.

Lo and behold, the chorus of voices in harmonisation after the next chorus. Here, the keyboard goes crazy and obnoxiously present. It’s clear in this section, Sawano-san wanted the ‘big presence’ of a chorus of voices. Perfectly ended with a final round of that chorus of voices again, ending slightly sharply. And you’ll be left wondering,”That’s the end already? OMG can I play this on repeat?!”.

Yes, I am playing this on repeat because it’s simply that good. I must say that this song has got a similar feel to Christmas Scene, an unreleased track also by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:mizuki. Check that out if you haven’t!
